Webcasts
From School Computing
Webcasting is broadcasting audio and video over the Internet via a stream.
- Jeff Lebow at WorldBridges broadcasted his first Interactive Webcast in May of 2005. He recently celebrated the first year of webcasting by taking on interns to spread webcasting to the people. An interactive webcast includes a Skype conference where up to 7 people can join in a conversation, an audio stream of the conversation, and lastly, a chat room for those listening to the stream to participate.
- Alex Ragone and Arvind Grover are interns and started webcasting about 21st Century Learning on May 5, 2006. Here is their show wiki and here is their show blog.
- Ted Talks - Online videos from an annual conference of an incredible array of thinkers, artists, economists, etc.
- PopTech - Similar to TED, but a newer conference.
