The more I find out about one laptop per child, the more I think this project can be a success. From the looks of the lap tops on the website, they seem very compact and easy to use. They seem to be an excellent way for students and teachers to communicate and share ideas. This will also allow students to learn from each other and share ideas.

I find this laptop program intriguing, especially on the heels of finishing the book Three Cups of Tea ( [1]) by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin. I believe that education is the way to fight terrorism and bring peace. This program shows promise. It is unfortunate that India does not see the merit in the program. It is also unfortunate that the program will not deliver any laptops until their quota is reached. It would be a nice gesture to start out on a smaller scale, and win support by success stories.
