Talk:Technology in Kindergarten
From School Computing
3/24/06 Sandy and Allyson, your pages look great! I loved how you included graphics into your software page. Your descriptions make it easy to understand the software pieces and the visual aid of adding the graphics makes it even easier. Have you ever incorporated the software Instant Readers into your classrooms? The CD's come in various reading levels and are wonderful to use with beginning readers because students are able to listen to the computer read the stories to them or read with the computer. - Linda
2006/03/26 Hi Sandy & Allyson, your page is coming along nicely! The biggest suggestion I can make is to take the interesting content you've gathered and put it up front and center. You can make room by slimming down the rationale section as I plan to do in Math, and including the link to Rationale_for_Technology_in_Education instead. The examples of integration are the best part of the chapter, and I feel they deserve a spot on the main page. The list of software profiles with the pictures would look great on the main page too, but I can understand that might make things too crowded. Lastly, do schools ever use the hardware products from LeapFrog (http://www.leapfrog.com/do/findpage?pageKey=preschool) or are they typically used by parents? -Tom
3-25-06 Hi Sandy & Allyson, I've posted my feedback for you as an audio file: Sandy & Allyson's Feedback From Demetri. Please be aware it's a fairly large (1.5 Mb) mp3 audio file, so it may take awhile to download, and you need an audio player to listen to it, such as Windows Media Player or QuickTime installed. If you have any problems or questions, please contact me. Thanks, Demetri
