Library Thing is a terrific tool, however, I don't think it's really appropriate to use as a circulation system. What it is really useful for is a way to review books, see what others are reading and find recommendations. The group discussion forums are also useful for these things as well as connecting with others. As a cataloging tool, it really is designed more for personal libraries (IMO), but I think it could be useful for smallish collections in a private school or special library.
