Back to Aims Retreat 2007

Here is my email exchange with Jamie McKenzie. He is available on our required dates, but the price is HIGH.

Dear Marilyn (please call me Jamie) . . .

So good to hear from you again. That was such a good visit to Key a few years back.

I would love to join you in April and do have the April dates clear. I enjoyed keynoting for the New England Independent Schools last April prior to the Boston Marathon.

My pricing structure for keynotes is based on audience size, so I will paste it below for your review.

Please let me know if you would like me to reserve one of the days?

Warm regards, Jamie

Fee Structure for Jamie McKenzie (North American Sites) January - December, 2007 (Revised June, 2006, to apply to all new engagements contracted following that date.)

For smaller keynote audiences (audiences between 100 and 499)

$4250 per day plus travel expenses (hotel, meals, etc.). This fee may be discounted to $4000 if air fare is paid or reimbursed in advance by client and fee is paid on the day of the speech.

This amount covers one keynote (90-150 minutes) and several smaller sessions (no more than 100 participants) in a day provided all work can be completed no later than 1:00 PM and flights are reasonably available to depart for the next day's destination. An additional keynote in the same day adds 50 per cent to the above fee.

For medium keynote audiences (audiences between 500 and 1,000)

$5250 per day plus travel expenses (hotel, meals, etc.). This fee may be discounted to $5000 if air fare is paid or reimbursed in advance by client and fee is paid on the day of the speech.

NOTE: Videotaping or audiotaping of any presentation would require a separate fee and agreement. In no case may any such taping be duplicated and distributed as a profit-making product.

Note on Sponsorships: If you are planning to have a publicly announced sponsor for my speaking engagement, please notify me in advance of our signing a contract so that I can determine whether or not that sponsorship is consistent with my own values.

Note on Equipment: I make quite an effort to create high quality computer generated slides that will require a projector capable of 1024x768 pixels. The client will be responsible for supplying a projector of that quality. For a detailed description, go to http://fno.org/JM/handsonequipment.txt or http://fno.org/JM/keynoteequipment.txt

Note on Speaking Locations: Very few gymnasiums offer a quality speaking environment, so it is only under very unusual circumstances with prior consent that a speech might be scheduled in such a facility.
